Georgia Institute of Technology, James Madison University, and Rochester Institute of Technology are collaborating around ePortfolios as assessment tools. James Madison University’s X+Tech program focuses on bringing engineering and EML to non-majors across JMU, with a goal of delivering an Engineering Innovation certificate at completion. University of New Haven offers a tiered, points-based Entrepre- neurial Thinking Engineering Certificate that students can earn by completing a variety of EM & 3C’s related activities. Santa Clara University has been working toward offering at least one EML course in every core curriculum area across campus. University of St. Thomas offers an 8-day (for 3 hours per day) intensive J-term boot camp on participation, listening, empathy, and design critique. Worcester Polytechnic Institute has developed EM-related mod- ules that can be adapted into any course. Campbell University is embedding EM modules, such as Question Formulation Techniques, in Mechanical Engineering core courses. Florida Gulf Coast University incorporates EM, IP, and ethics discussions into a variety of core courses. Bucknell University undergrads can choose from a few elective options focused on EM, including opportunity recognition, pain- storming, and defining tangible products. University of Detroit Mercy offers students courses on design innovation, creativity, and business model development. George Washington University is developing cross-departmental EML-focused capstone experiences around Engineering for the Public Good.
