Engineering Unleashed Ambassadors and AIChE
Engineering Unleashed Ambassadors are community members who serve as liaisons for the entrepreneurial mindset to their engineering professional societies at the regional or national level.
AIChE is the Global Home of Chemical Engineers, working to solve societal problems and benefit humanity through the safe and responsible practice of chemical engineering.

Current Work
- Dr. Matthew Liberatore spearheaded an article entitled "Encouraging the Entrepreneurial Mindset of Chemical Engineers” for the Career Catalyst column of the CEP Magazine of AIChE (May 2023).
- Presenting the entrepreneurial mindset (EM) in both academic and industry contexts, this article was co-authored with Dr. Margot Vigeant, Dr. Cheryl Bodnar, Kevin Fruth (Cenovus), Dr. Kristine Horvat, Dr. Chelsea Monty-Bromer, and Dr. Erick S. Vasquez.
- At the 15th AIChE Midwest regional conference, Matt connected with faculty advisers and students who are active in AIChE campus chapters.
- In the workshop "How to Build a Great AIChE Student Chapter," Matt and Chelsea demonstrated the relevance of EM to running a successful chapter. This strategy highlights EM for chapter faculty advisers in following years.
- Margot received the 2023 Award for Service to Chemical Engineering Education.
